{"id":41285,"date":"2022-01-03T18:40:26","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T17:40:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trioptics.fr\/?post_type=product&#038;p=41285"},"modified":"2025-10-17T14:37:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T12:37:59","slug":"micropro-velocimeter","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.trioptics.fr\/en\/product\/micropro-velocimeter\/","title":{"rendered":"MicroPro Velocimeter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Based on the proven technology of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trioptics.fr\/en\/product\/2d-minildv-velocimeter\/\"><strong>miniLDV \u2122 laser anemometer<\/strong><\/a> and the miniaturization know-how for which MSE is renowned, the <strong>microPro Doppler anemometer<\/strong> has been designed specifically to fill a gap in boundary layer profilometry. The microPro probe contains a <strong>laser<\/strong>, miniature beam-shaping optics, receiving optics, detection system and electronic path. The distance between the sensor and the probe volume (holding distance) is up to 15 mm.<\/p>\n<p>The measuring range is only 15 x 30 x 80 \u00b5m. In a <strong>laser Doppler velocimeter<\/strong>, two coherent laser beams are crossed (forming the probe volume) to generate interference bangs. As a microscopically textured particle or surface moves through this region, it reflects flashes of light corresponding to its passage through the constructive interference regions. Since the spacing between the bangs is constant, the speed of the particle or surface is proportional to the frequency of the reflected flashes.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to integrated electronic tracking, the probe volume can be moved through the thickness of the boundary layer, providing a direct measurement of its velocity profile. In addition, the software can adjust the profile and, given the viscosity, calculate the shear stress. \ufffcThe microPro system consists of the microProbe probe, processing motor, electronic translation controller and 1D Burst Processor Acquisition Manager software.
