GeoSymmetric\u2122 vertical positioning stages from our partner ALIO use direct voice coil or linear drives, high-precision cross-roller bearings and various counterweight options as part of a unique, innovative concept.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Unique geometric shapes provide mounting surfaces on several sides of the stage for flexible installation options. The ability to mount the payload directly on the front or top surface of the stage eliminates the problems of weakness and resonant frequency encountered when using additional supports.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201csymmetrical\u201d part of the family name comes from the layout of the components used. The counterweight, motor, bearings and encoder are all placed on an approximate center line of the stage, i.e. they are integrated so that their masses are symmetrically distributed on the stage.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This series of vertical positioning stages achieves bi-directional repeatability down to +\/-45nm, travels from 6 to 70mm, and load capacities up to 30kg. Thanks to their accuracy 4 to 10 times greater than that of traditional stages, ALIO’s GeoSymmetric\u2122 vertical positioning stages are ideal for all applications in the semiconductor industry, microscopes for the life and health sciences, or many metrology applications.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
