{"id":43045,"date":"2025-07-30T10:59:59","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T08:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trioptics.fr\/?post_type=product&#038;p=43045"},"modified":"2025-10-08T17:48:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T15:48:09","slug":"micros-velocimeter","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.trioptics.fr\/en\/product\/micros-velocimeter\/","title":{"rendered":"MicroS Velocimeter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The microS\u2122 is the first micro-optical shear stress sensor available on the market, specially designed to accurately measure velocity gradients in the laminar or turbulent sublayer of a fluid around an immersed body.<\/p>\n<p>Accuracy at the heart of the boundary layer<\/p>\n<p>With a probe face of \u00d8 9.5 mm and a total length of only 30 mm, the microS\u2122 is designed for flush mounting on the surface of test bodies. Its ultra-small detection volume of 15 x 30 x 30 \u03bcm (centred at 75 or 135 \u03bcm from the surface) enables accurate measurements under the most demanding conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The technology is based on optics that generate several linear divergent light fringes. When particles pass through these fringes, the light they scatter is processed to extract a frequency proportional to the instantaneous local velocity.
