Sciencetech’s LightLine series of fiber-based solar simulators is a revolution in the solar simulator industry. Indeed, you can direct the AAA class solar light wherever you want with the standard 120cm line. Conventional solar simulator designs require that you bring your sample to the solar simulator. Now you can bring the solar simulator to your sample.
These are equipped as standard with a touch screen power supply, an integrated shutter and an exposure controller.
The LightLine has one basic model and three configurations of output optics (it is also possible to customize them on demand). Configuration options are available for AAA-class lighting up to 50 mm side and intensity up to 18 suns. It is also possible to customize the instrument according to your needs, for example by adding intensity filters or other spectral filters such as UV and IR blocking filters.
Extended surface solar simulator
Solar simulators used on large areas of 1m x 1m are used for many research and industrial uses.
As required, they are designed using xenon short arc lamps, LED or metal halide lamps as the basis of the system to recreate solar lighting.
These solar simulators are often designed from scratch to meet specific needs and demands.
Examples of some specifications they may meet:
- Variable illumination areas
- AM0, AM1.5G or other specialized spectral matches
- Various degrees of collimation, according to customer requirements
- Step or continuous reduction of irradiance
- Multiple mounting options, in different orientations including ceiling.
- Installation in hazardous areas
These solar simulation systems can be used in many applications including:
- Testing large solar panels
- Integrated in wind tunnels and climatic chambers
- Used in the automotive, rail, military and aerospace industries
