Solar simulators, used on large surfaces of 1m x 1m, are used for numerous research and industrial applications.
Depending on the requirements, they are designed using xenon short-arc lamps, LEDs, or metal halide lamps as the basis of the system to recreate solar lighting.
These solar simulators are often designed from scratch to meet specific needs and requirements.
Examples of some of the specifications they can meet:
- Variable illumination zones
- AM0, AM1.5G, or other specialized spectral matches
- Various degrees of collimation, depending on customer needs
- Stepped or continuous irradiance reduction
- Multiple mounting options, in different orientations, including ceiling mounting. Installation in high-risk areas
These solar simulation systems can be used in numerous applications, including:
- Testing large solar panels
- Integrating into wind tunnels and climatic chambers
- Using them in the automotive, railway, military, and aerospace industries
