Fizeau interferometers provide high quality wavefront measurements for general purpose and metric class optics. However, measurement quality may be compromised by inferior mounting components and ad hoc mounting configurations.
4D Technology’s optical mounting components make configuration quick and repeatable, improving productivity and measurement quality. Rigid and vibration resistant, these easy-to-use mounts interface with most manufacturers’ optics to maximize the value of your investment. The brackets are available in 4 and 6 inch versions to fit most Fizeau interferometers, including AccuFiz interferometers from our partner 4D Technology.
Optics
Our partner 4D Technology offers a range of 4 and 6 inch bayonet mount optics to complete your test installation. Choose from transmission plates and return plates of quality λ/10 or λ/20, or transmission spheres and reference spheres λ/10, λ/15 or λ/20, from F/0.65 to F/12.5. Various reflectivities and attenuation coatings are available. Larger optics, up to 18 inches, are also available.
Digital ray slides

Motorized tilt
The «Tip/Tilt» motorized accessory for AccuFiz laser interferometers allows you to remotely align the reference optics, for precise system alignment, easy positioning in hard-to-reach locations and automated calibration of the dynamic measurement mode. Two models 4 (100 mm) and 6 (150 mm) are available. .

Fixed base:
This robust and stable base is the core of the 4D Technology optical mounting system for laser interferometer measurements. Unbreakable screws allow additional components to be attached quickly. Steel ball guides allow the support to be moved precisely along the optical axis with the available table guide.

Base 2 axes:
This holder combines the fixed base with a tiltable plate to precisely align optics for laser interferometer measurements. It is available in 4 and 6 inch configurations. The 4-inch version offers a tilt of 4 degrees, while the 6-inch version offers a tilt of 3.5 degrees. Steel ball guides allow the support to be moved precisely along the optical axis with the available table guide.

Base 3 axes :
The XYZ plate allows for precision translation in the X, Y and Z axes for laser interferometer measurements. The micrometers provide accurate, drift-free positioning with negligible clearance. Steel ball guides allow the support to be moved precisely along the optical axis with the available table guide.

Base 5 axes:
The 5-axis XYZ Tip-Tilt base allows for precise translation in the X, Y and Z axes, as well as inclination adjustment for laser interferometer measurements. The 4-inch version offers a tilt of 4 degrees, while the 6-inch version offers a tilt of 3.5 degrees. The micrometers provide accurate, drift-free positioning with negligible clearance. Steel ball guides allow the support to be moved precisely along the optical axis with the available table guide.

Tip-tilt adapter:
The Tip/Tilt adapter mounts to the fixed base or 3-axis base to add tip and tilt adjustment for interferometer and laser interferometer measurements. Precision mechanism prevents drift and play. The 4-inch adapter offers a tilt of 4 degrees, while the 6-inch adapter offers a tilt of 3.5 degrees. The adapter is mounted with screws integrated into the fixed base.

Rotation adapter:
The rotation adapter adds a full 360-degree rotation, with precision stops in 90-degree increments for absolute flat surface and sphere testing on a laser interferometer. The adapter has a 10 degree fine adjustment, with coarse and fine position locks. The scale is easy to read in low light.

Three-jaw support:
This self-centering 3-bit clamp provides a smooth grip and positive positioning of the circular optics for laser interferometer measurements. A single adjustment knob can be used to capture samples from 0 inch to full diameter. Viton® jaw tips provide superior grip and are resistant to dust and chemicals.

Bayonet mount:
This mount accepts most manufacturers’ standard bayonet optics for laser interferometer measurements. Roller locks ensure positive positioning and zero drift.

Shelf support:
The shelf support provides level support for laser interferometer measurement of prisms, corner cubes etc. Locking slides allow vertical movement (the 4-inch version offers a displacement of 2.75 inches; the 6-inch version offers a displacement of 3.25 inches). The shelf itself includes a set of mounting holes in either an English (1/4-20 threaded holes on 1 inch centers) or metric (M6 threaded holes on 25 mm centers) configuration.

Adaptor plate:
This plate allows custom optical mounting configurations for laser interferometer measurements. The 4 inch adapter plate is 5.9 inch square, with 1 inch holes in its corners for accue.

The 4 and 6 inch adapter plates include a set of mounting holes in either English (1/4-20 every 1 inch threaded holes) or metric (M6 threaded holes every 25 mm). The central row of holes along the two main axes is centered 1/2 inch (12 mm).

Film beam separator:
When measuring highly reflective samples using a laser interferometer, this film beam divider provides 25-30% transmission attenuation at 633 nm wavelength to maximize fringe contrast. The solid housing and integrated lids allow safe storage and transport.

Table guide:
The table guide allows the fixed base, 2-axis base, 3-axis base or 5-axis base to be moved precisely along the optical axis for laser interferometer measurements. The ball guides on the supports slide along the guide for positive positioning. The mounting slots allow for use on optical tables at English or metric scale.

Lock-Down support:
The Look-Down bracket allows for vertical mounting of AccuFiz interferometers, with 36 or 72 inch uprights.
