    Why propose LIBS interaction chambers?

    AtomTrace has demonstrated that measurements performed in an argon or vacuum atmosphere are about four times more reproducible than measurements in air, while also reducing detection limits.

    In addition, these chambers make it easier to detect elements originating from the surrounding atmosphere (C, N, O, H) in your samples.

    The AtomTrace LIBS interaction chamber is the result of 18 years of experimental development. It enables both basic LIBS experiments and more advanced techniques such as double-pulse LIBS, LIBS+LIFS, micro-LIBS, and low-pressure LIBS.

    It has been designed to simplify and even automate measurement procedures, while enabling the use of LIBS across a wide range of applications.

    Safety: The chamber fully isolates the laser–matter interaction, protecting the laboratory from intense laser reflections, plasma emissions, and potentially toxic vapors.

    Automation: Motorized 3-axis sample handling, with the ability to define analysis points for 2D and 3D mapping.

    Simulation of different atmospheric conditions: Pressure can be varied between 1 and 1,300 mbar with different gases such as He, Xe, and CO₂, allowing simulations of environments such as Mars.
