Piezo tip/tilt systems are based on the nanoX design approved by Piezosystem Jena. This sophisticated design of the nanoSX and nanoX series gears is distinguished by its bi-directional actuation and active traction/tensile force. The basic characteristics of these high-performance piezo actuators are very high rigidity and resonance frequency. These features enable systems to move heavy loads very dynamically.
The bi-directional gear design makes the systems very robust and insensitive to external forces. The components to be moved can be glued directly onto the top plate and can be mounted using an adaptation plate, respectively.
