The piezo mirror tilt systems of the PSH 4/1 series piezoelectric mirror scanning and tilt platforms are designed for ultra-fast positioning tasks with nanometric accuracy.
They are particularly suitable for beam guiding, scanning, vibration control, beam alignment and beam tracking functions. The PSH 4/1, a mirror tilt platform based on a piezoelectric actuator, was developed as an ultra-fast scanning system for kHz frequencies. The miniature size system is based on two active actuators. It offers an inclination of 4 mrad. Due to the internal preload, the system has a very short stabilization time and the resonance frequency is greater than 6.5 kHz when discharged.
Due to the special design of the bending hinge, the system is free from friction and mechanical play. The PSH 4/1 system is also available in cryogenic and vacuum versions. Optical components (mirrors, for example) can be mounted directly on the top plate.
