Shockwave generator PIA

PIA (piezo impulse generator) composite piezo stacks can be used as high-power shockwave generators.  

These impulse generators deliver high accelerations for testing structures and materials, for example. A special dielectric ceramic is used for these pulse generators, which are highly efficient with a high power density. 

Pulse energy density is twice as high as comparable ceramic for actuators.

– Adjustable impact parameters such as energy/acceleration/deflection 

– E 10,000 g, stroke up to > 100 µm

– Pulse energies in the Joule range
