TT-01 temperature sensor
TT-01 Temperature Transducer
The TT-01 temperature transducer integrates all measurement electronics, including calibration data. The calibration process integrated into the production process enables calibration of the entire measurement chain, from the temperature sensor to the digital result. This ensures high accuracy, easy handling and interchangeability.
Any Pt100 temperature sensor with a 3 to 5 mm connection cable can be connected to the TT-01 temperature transducer. We offer three different Pt100 models with different cable lengths as a standard solution. Cable length depends on the application and installation conditions.
For laser interferometry applications, the air temperature sensor must be placed close to the laser beam. A material sensor is usually attached to the machine bed, to the test sample or close to the balances to be calibrated.
The TT-01 temperature sensor is connected to a T input on the UW-3x environmental module of the interferometer’s electronic evaluation and power supply unit, or to the LCS precision climatic measuring station. Operation without one of these base stations is not possible.

Three different types of Pt100 temperature sensor are available as standard:
- Standard air sensor
The standard air sensor is based on an encapsulated Pt100 precision flat measuring resistor.
2. Dynamic air sensor
The dynamic air sensor is based on a Pt100 measuring resistor wound into a dynamic needle shape. The design has been optimized for dynamic properties. The sensor can also be wet-calibrated, potentially reducing measurement uncertainty during calibration and enabling trouble-free use in humid environments.
This design is highly recommended for applications as a wavelength correction sensor for interferometers in a forced-air environment (e.g. actively air-conditioned measurement rooms).
3. Material temperature sensor
The material temperature sensor is a flat precision Pt100 measuring resistor in a small aluminum housing. The housing is fitted with magnets for attachment to ferromagnetic materials and a hole for screwing.
These temperature sensors can be ordered as variants with the TT-01 temperature transducer or the WT-01 wireless temperature sensor.
WT-01 wireless temperature sensor
Wired temperature sensors are easy to use and provide precise measurements. In some applications, however, they are not very practical, e.g. for remote or hard-to-reach measurement points, or for short-term measurements.
Our WT-01 wireless temperature sensors offer an ideal solution, forming a sensor network of up to 15 measuring points with a typical autonomy of around one month.
The WT-01 wireless temperature sensor can be connected to any Pt100 temperature sensor using a 3 mm connecting cable. As a standard solution, we offer three different Pt100 models with cable lengths of 1 m (material sensor) and 1.5 m (air sensor). Customized lengths are available on request.
The WT-01 wireless temperature sensor requires a corresponding base station, which is integrated in the UW-34 environmental module, the LCS-01 climatic measuring station and the SB-36 sensor box.
SB-22 sensor box
Sensor boxes combine precision atmospheric pressure transducers with a relative humidity sensor. They can be connected to the UW-32 to UW-34 environmental modules and the LCS climatic measuring station.
The extraordinarily high atmospheric pressure measurement accuracy of ±50 Pa is achieved by a special calibration procedure during production.
Sensor housings can be ordered with different cable lengths. As a general rule, the standard connection length of 3 m is sufficient, as the sensor housing must be positioned directly next to the interferometer. Positioning in the same room, e.g. at the same height as the measuring section and as far away as possible from heat sources, is sufficient.
