Portable and lightweight (< 1kg), the 4D InSpec measuring device ensures the detection and analysis of surface defects. With its 10m long cable it is possible to control large parts and complex geometric shapes (turbine blades, motor shafts…) The 4D InSpec measuring device quantifies surface defects such as pits, scratches, bumps, oxidation, chamfers, connection grooves, bending radii and rivet flush from 2.5 μm to 2.5 mm depth. The associated software automatically locates defects and calculates their height, volume, size and slope. The data can be viewed in 2D or 3D at the user’s choice. It is also possible to edit and save the measurement results. With a working distance of 4cm, it has a field of view of 7.6 7.6 mm and a vertical repeatability of less than 0.6μm. Whether used manually, placed on a workstation or even fixed on a robot, this system is suitable for many fields of application such as aerospace, automotive, avionics, rail, micromechanics etc. The 4D InSpec flatness measurement system is supplied with a computer and touch screen, Ethernet cable and software. With its rechargeable Li-ion battery, its autonomy is about 8h. An optional mirror reference gives the possibility to use the 4D InSpec surface measurement system as a borescope in order to reach the less accessible areas. NEW!
