Compact mounts for mirrors < 300 mm

The OS-Z series of gimbal mirror mounts are complementary to our standard OS series (< 300 mm) mounts for lenses from 75 mm to 250 mm in diameter. The mounting is exceptionally stable and stress-free. Seven sizes are manufactured in 25 mm increments. The mirror mounts can support mirrors such as off-axis paraboloids (OAPs), spheres and plates. Specifically, the OS-Z series supports have been developed to support off-axis paraboloids in a way that overcomes a number of constraints imposed by general purpose media.

The main advantages of using an OS-Z mount can be summarized as follows:

• Allows mounting of OAP with wedge back or parallel back
• Allows mounting of a small alignment flat to assist the user in their alignment
• Small increments of size allow a small footprint

This is particularly useful when space is limited. Special features make it easy to achieve a particularly stable (long-term) and stress-free assembly.
