Controller PS30

The OWIS PS 30 is a universal position controller for installation on a PC. 

It consists of a plug-in board and an output stage module without PCI connector, mounted on a second housing panel (short PCI format 106 x 168 mm). The two cards are connected flexibly by a tablecloth. 

The PS 30 is a high-performance device that can operate up to 3 axes with two-phase AC servos or stepper motors. Different combinations of the two types of motors are possible. 

For high-precision positioning tasks, an additional input for the incremental encoder or a position measurement system is available for each axis. 

Micro-step mode with stepper motors ensures smooth operation and high resolution. These motors can be used up to 256 micro steps per full step using the software. 

The PS 30 is operated and programmed by a PC. Multiple inputs and outputs are integrated to communicate with different devices, for example TTL, analog, as well as two power outputs for engine stop brakes. 

It allows point-to-point positioning in trapezoidal or S-curve speed-time profiles. 

Part of the delivery includes a triple motor adapter cable, and a CD 

with dedicated software tool OWISoft, driver and SDK for C, C++, C#, LabView (version 8.2 and later) and additional programming languages (32/64 bits). Thus, the PS 30 can be configured and operated comfortably.
