ALIO’s standard and most common rotation stage family uses cross roller or angular contact bearings in combination with frameless torque motors. These stages can handle applications where mass, acceleration or simply throughput requirements are extreme, while maintaining nanometer-level precision performance. Thanks to improved rigidity, they also perform well with off-center loads.

Standard rotary stages from our partner ALIO have a repeatability of +/-0.2 arcsec and a radial and axial runout of 13 to 20 µm, with optional runouts of less than 5 µm for certain models. The family of rotary stages with mechanical bearings features a range of motor sizes to suit different work cycles, as well as mass and acceleration requirements from 80 mm to 300 mm diameter. Vacuum rotary union options are available on the inner diameter for mounting a vacuum chuck.

Our partner ALIO has also designed rotary stages with angular contact bearings to meet the need for very compact, flat rotary stages for applications requiring a decent-sized opening. Thanks to the use of torque motors, the stages enable continuous, jerk-free movement or a forward and reverse process over the full 360 degrees. There’s no need to compromise between precision or throughput, both can be maximized with this stage family. It’s a versatile stage for a variety of applications and industries!
