Automation Technology’s 3D sensors scan objects with a laser beam. This method consists of the projection of a laser line that moves along the surface to be analyzed. Then, an image of the laser line is recorded using a camera. Knowing the angle of triangulation we can thus trace the 3D profile of the object.
