The new generation of Hexapodes Hybrides® (Hybrid Hexapod®) patented by our partner ALIO takes a different approach from traditional 6-degree of freedom (6-DOF) positioning devices and offers much better performance at extremely competitive prices. The Hybrid Hexapod® combines a precision XY monolithic stage, tripod and continuously rotating Theta-Z axis. It makes the traditional kinematics of the hexapod obsolete, with improvements of several orders of magnitude in terms of accuracy, trajectory performance, speed, rigidity and a wider work envelope with virtually unlimited XY travel and fully programmable tool centering points locations.
