Twyman-Green interferometers: PhaseCam

The PhaseCam® range of instruments is based on the Twyman-Green interferometer principle. Thanks to its polarized pixel camera (patented by 4D Technology), the PhaseCam® can acquire data in a single phase, making it the first truly vibration-insensitive interferometer. It is particularly well suited to testing large mirrors, where vibration isolation is often a problem.

What’s more, turbulence or long optical paths do not affect its measurement accuracy. It can also be used to measure moving or deformable optical surfaces.

Wavefront acquisition takes place in tens or hundreds of microseconds, thanks to 4D Technology’s patented spatial phase-shifting technique.

As an option, the PhaseCam® interferometer can be configured for use in vacuum.

The latest-generation 4Sight™ Focus Analysis software is used to control instrument parameters, perform data acquisition, create complex masks, generate reference files, calculate Zernike and Seidel coefficients…

The PhaseCam® interferometer is now considered the benchmark for dynamic interferometry in the high-precision optics sector. It is available in several standard versions, and can be customized to meet your specific requirements.

Numerous accessories and options are available, including a 5-axis mount, low-reflectivity divergent lenses and beam expanders. An external high-power 532nm source for ESPI (Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry) is also available.
