Our long-standing partner, Optical Surfaces Ltd, produces lens beam expanders allowing Fizeau interferometers to be used for testing optics up to 600 mm in diameter.
The optical combination of these expanders covers 50 to 100 mm input diameters, reaching 300 to 600 mm output diameters. Designed to provide low WFE and high transmission over specific wavelengths, these large-aperture beam expanders are limited by diffraction.
Incorporating high precision lenses manufactured in an ultra-stable environment, these beam expanders can achieve a WFE better than lambda/10 PtV. Different magnification configurations are available but also customized by the customer. Each beam expander is designed to be easy to use and to provide precise, unobstructed expansion of the collimated input beam.
Each beam expander is integrated into a mechanism allowing an optimal interface with the customer’s interferometer type. An interferogram and OPD map is supplied with each beam-expander manufactured by Optical Surfaces Ltd.
Optical Surfaces Ltd has been producing optical components and systems from its ISO 9001-2015 certified (UK) factory for over 50 years and is now recognized as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of beam expanders.
