Distortion characterization module in camera modules 

The CamTest Chart system projects a test pattern from a finite or infinite object distance to the test sample. For an infinite test configuration, a specially designed relay optic is used. Using a suitable optical structure, cameras with highly distorted optics can also be calibrated.

Measurements performed:

Measurement of: camera lens geometric distortion (LGD), TV distortion, camera angle of view and optical center, camera EFL and FOV.
Distortion coefficients (Seidel coefficients) are obtained from the distortion measurement, and used to calibrate the camera module under test.
Particularly relevant for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) modules.
Relay optics are available as an option.
