Software InSpec

The 4D InSpec® analysis software provides measurement acquisition and intuitive analysis to get the most out of the 4D InSpec surface gauge. Its simple design, touch screen interface and drag-and-drop operation make the software easy to use in a production environment.

4D InSpec Feature Analysis simplifies the location and measurement of surface defects and features. The measurement area is displayed live to align and facilitate focus. Colors indicate when the part is at the correct distance. The measurement results appear on the right, with a plot of the surface, a view of the defects/features found and a data table for each feature. You can also display a 2D or 3D plot of the area in full screen. Sliders allow cross-sections to be drawn.

4D InSpec includes tolerance tools that speed up data processing in production or MRO environments: define the functionality tolerances to display only entities of a given depth or height, or entities with a minimum width or area.

The measurement stack stores your recent measurements for comparison or further analysis. You can select several measurements to record on disk or delete. Data reports are incredibly simple: export directly and to a pdf template or use the optional IronPython module to create custom reports.

The software can also be purchased separately for data analysis and reporting on another desktop or laptop computer. The remote access software allows you to connect to the main instrument functions and software from user-written applications. An IronPython script option is also available to allow you to write your own automation and data analysis scripts.
