  • SP 5000 DS dual-beam laser interferometers are used for measurement tasks requiring simultaneous acquisition of angle of motion in addition to length information. The measuring principle of this interferometer is based on the SP 5000 NG measuring device.
  • Two laser measurement beams use light from a common laser of the same frequency. The spacing between the two measuring beams is precisely calibrated. The parallelism of the measurement beams with respect to each other is very important. If the two beams use a common reflector, the angle can be measured and calculated with high resolution in motion by forming the difference.
  • If the two beams operate independently of each other, differential measurements are possible. For particularly high demands on the long-term stability of differential measurement, we recommend the SP 5000 DI series interferometer. Measurement tasks requiring simultaneous acquisition of another angle can be carried out with the SP 5000 TR three-beam interferometer.
