What is hyperspectral imaging?

Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is a passive technique that analyzes the light reflected or emitted by an object. It combines two technologies: imaging and spectrometry.

While the human eye sees color in mainly 3 bands (RGB), each pixel of a hyperspectral camera contains a spectrum of several hundred wavelengths.

The hyperspectral image thus integrates the spatial information of the object with its spectral characteristics.

Therefore, hyperspectral imaging has become one of the key analytical tools in a wide range of industries as it is non-destructive, contactless, fast and can measure multiple parameters simultaneously.

The benefits of turnkey solutions from Clyde HSI

  • Automatic exposure adjustment and motorized autofocus
  • Automatic determination of scan speed to ensure square pixels
  • Selection of one or more areas of interest in the image
  • Automatic magnification of the lens
  • Select a smaller spectral band to increase the analysis speed
  • A single software to control all your equipment
  • The spectraSENS software is compatible with all scanner systems and spectral cameras produced by ClydeHSI. It is updated for free.
  • For large objects, automatic image reconstruction in seconds.
  • Installation and user training by Trioptics France engineer

Clyde HSI has adopted a system approach to free the researcher or engineer from all time and energy consuming “logistical” constraints so that he can devote himself to data analysis and interpretation.
